Using a small handheld camera, the video team approached friends, neighbours and kin.
Film participants responded with generosity and trust. Their stories reveal that for too
long people have been struggling on their own in a sea of racism, poverty, grief, violence
and sexual abuse, with little support in the form of understanding, effective programming
and social solidarity. Although many participants were willing to be identified and named,
some preferred to be anonymous. To ensure all stories are heard on equal ground, they
are presented without names.
